Requirements

The Senior Director – Global Imaging Portfolio and Project Management will report directly to the Global Imaging Platform Leader and is responsible for steering the operational execution of the Lilly Global Imaging Platform. This role requires oversight of portfolio management for nonclinical and clinical imaging functions, fostering innovation and excellence in Imaging Research and Development. The position necessitates integration of cross-functional capabilities and alignment with corporate objectives to drive advancements in imaging science. A strong understanding of project management capabilities, processes, and tools is essential for executing development plans and monitoring cross-functional team performance. Direct supervision and contribution to career development for R&D project management, including coaching and mentoring talent, is expected. Creating an environment that encourages intelligent risk-taking and managing risk at the team and portfolio level is a key requirement.

Responsibilities

The Senior Director will serve as a strategic partner in organizing and administering Imaging Research and Development, ensuring communication across functional areas such as Clinical Development, Medical, Imaging Operations, Imaging R&D, Regulatory, Business Development, and field medical teams. This role acts as a liaison to advocate for the needs of the imaging research and development organization and works with project management and imaging teams to ensure appropriate communication with imaging and therapeutic clinical protocol teams. Responsibilities include coordinating the delivery of milestones on time, on budget, and within scope, managing budgets, and providing effective reporting and visualization of project milestones and risks. The role involves driving risk management processes, developing a robust issues management process, and facilitating the resolution of issues impacting key project deliverables. Additionally, the Senior Director will develop and drive cross-functional efforts for continuous improvement and transformation to support growth, acceleration, and scalability, and ensure team members actively participate in shared learning events.
