Requirements

Candidates should have 5+ years of professional software engineering experience and 5+ years of experience building and managing technical processes in SRE, DevOps, or related domains. Experience supporting infrastructure and services in public cloud environments, specifically AWS, is required. Strong hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation, knowledge of network engineering fundamentals (TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, etc.), and experience with Agile software development methodologies are essential. Preferred qualifications include AWS certification, Linux expertise, experience with large-scale distributed systems, container orchestration frameworks (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD tools.

Responsibilities

The Senior DevOps Engineer will partner with engineering teams to manage the availability, latency, performance, reliability, and scalability of services, ensuring SLAs are met. They will provide technical leadership, act as an SME for SRE functions with an automation-first mindset, and collaborate with various stakeholders to define SLOs/SLIs and error budgets. Responsibilities include driving cloud cost management, capacity planning, performance management, and service instrumentation for observability. The role also involves owning incident management, conducting post-mortems, maintaining runbooks, coordinating change and release management, evangelizing SRE best practices, and championing DevSecOps principles. Additionally, the engineer will coach and mentor team members.
