Requirements

Candidates must have extensive experience in a scripting language such as Bash, Python, or JavaScript, and hands-on experience in an object-oriented language like Python, Ruby, Go, Swift, Java, .Net, or C++. A strong understanding of the full software development lifecycle and Agile practices is required, along with significant experience with git version control, branching, and CI/CD practices. Experience with Kubernetes ecosystem, service mesh deployment (e.g., ISTIO, Linkerd, Consul), Helm Charts, Custom Resource Definitions, and cloud-native CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, CodeDeploy, CodePipeline, Gitlab) is essential. Proficiency in automating cloud infrastructure using tools like AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or AWS CDK is also necessary. Experience with microservices and distributed application architecture in a multi-tier environment is expected.

Responsibilities

The Senior DevOps Engineer will enable customers' use of AWS to achieve business objectives by designing, deploying, maintaining, and troubleshooting microservices estates on Kubernetes. They will create cloud-native CI/CD workflows and automate cloud infrastructure with scripting and code, ensuring repeatable and sustainable AWS infrastructure. Responsibilities include automating infrastructure and application deployment and testing, supporting developers with CI/CD pipelines and AWS architecture guidance, and establishing visibility into cloud operations through resource tagging and cost analysis. Additionally, they will support customer migrations from on-premises to AWS, lead technical design sessions, conduct code reviews for Infrastructure-as-Code, and provide mentorship to other engineers.
