Requirements

  • 4-7 years of prior experience in DevOps, SRE, Systems Engineer, or similar role
  • Expert experience designing and building cloud-based infrastructure on Linux, and proficiency with AWS and Kubernetes
  • Expert ability to write clean, effective and scalable code in an object oriented language, preferably Python or Go
  • Expert experience with infrastructure as code tooling (eg. Terraform, OpenTofu)
  • Experience with defining best in class CI/CD standards
  • Experience supporting backend services in Python or other object-oriented languages
  • Base line level of experience in networking including load balancing and VPN technologies
  • Reliable, resourceful, and flexible - you deliver on your commitments, value outcomes, and adapt quickly when priorities shift

Responsibilities

  • Designing, building, and operating infrastructure for Normal’s products, automating development processes, and ensuring product reliability in our Linux environment
  • Collaborating with product and AI teams to define and implement DevOps standards
  • Deploying and managing Normal’s product stack in our clients environments
  • Designing and implementing Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for software and data workloads, integrating security checks and policy enforcement
  • Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting best practices, manage credentials, and ensure regulatory compliance (e.g., SOC2)
  • Performing the continued evolutions, maintenance operations and upgrades on all of Normal’s infrastructure
