Requirements

  • 4+ years of backend or SDK engineering experience (Go preferred; Java/Python also fine)
  • Strong background in distributed systems, event-driven pipelines, or observability services
  • Experience building developer-facing SDKs, CLIs, or platform APIs
  • Familiarity with data warehouses (BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift) and ETL/CDC patterns
  • Experience supporting production systems in a high-availability environment

Responsibilities

  • Build scalable telemetry ingestion pipelines (API-first, Pub/Sub/Kafka optional, warehouse targets like BigQuery or Snowflake)
  • Design and maintain licensing services for usage metering, entitlement APIs, high-watermark billing logic, and token/UUID validation
  • Develop and maintain developer-facing SDKs (Go, Java, Python, Node) and CLI tools for telemetry, feature flags, and license validation
  • Define schemas, thresholds, and event models aligned with licensing enforcement and adoption signals
  • Collaborate with PMs, RevOps, and CS on system health metrics, billing workflows, and customer-facing usage reporting
  • Ensure SDKs integrate with CDPs (Segment, RudderStack, Posthog) and internal telemetry pipelines (BigQuery, Snowflake, dbt)
  • Maintain schema compatibility and versioning across services and SDKs
  • Support production services in a 24x7 on-call rotation, driving reliability and incident response
  • Build with scalability, maintainability, reliability, and security as core principles
