Requirements

Candidates should possess at least three years of demonstrated data engineering experience, proficiency in procedural languages such as Python, intermediate to advanced SQL skills, and experience working within the Azure data ecosystem, including Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics (ASA), and Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS). Furthermore, applicants must be capable of developing modular and reusable code and tools, understand normalized relational data structures, and write and maintain modular code for automation according to best practices.

Responsibilities

The Senior Data Engineer will ingest data from various sources utilizing cloud-native platforms and software development best practices, develop software tools leveraging artificial intelligence, machine learning, and big-data techniques to cleanse and transform data, partner with data scientists and actuaries to ensure robust and efficient modeling and reporting processes, build new processes and tools as business needs evolve, guide the team in best coding and optimization practices within the current tech stack, and serve as a thought leader in adopting new technologies.
