Candidates should have 4+ years of experience in data engineering or backend development with a strong focus on building production-grade data pipelines, solid experience working with AWS services such as Redshift, Spectrum, S3, RDS, Glue, Lambda, Kinesis, and SQS, proficiency in Python and SQL for data transformation and automation, experience with dbt for data modeling and transformation, and a good understanding of streaming architectures and micro-batching. Familiarity with event schema validation tools/solutions (Snowplow, Schema Registry) and experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI) are also required, along with excellent communication and collaboration skills and strong problem-solving abilities.
As a Senior Data Engineer, you will build and maintain reliable, scalable ETL/ELT pipelines, design and implement effective data models, collaborate across teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions, ensure data quality through checks and validation frameworks, identify and address performance issues in pipelines and queries, follow data security best practices, contribute to the development of CI/CD pipelines, and test new tools and approaches through Proof of Concepts. You will also work on automation and continuous improvement of data workflows and support automated testing and deployment.
