Requirements

Candidates should possess a BS/MS degree in a quantitative field such as data science, statistics, mathematics, economics, finance, or engineering, or have equivalent work experience. A minimum of 4 years of experience in analytics, data science, business intelligence, or a similar role is required. Proficiency in SQL is essential, along with experience in Python, R, or ML modeling, and familiarity with BI tools like Tableau, Looker, or Power BI. Strong data storytelling, cross-departmental collaboration, intense curiosity, and self-motivation in a fast-paced startup environment are also key requirements. Experience with analytics notebook tools and modern data stack tools like dbt is considered a bonus.

Responsibilities

The Senior Data Analyst will develop insights into marketplace dynamics to balance businesses and workers, and drive insights on worker behavior across key operational metrics to ensure a high-quality customer experience. This role involves providing strategic insights and recommendations to senior leadership, designing and maintaining dashboards and reports, and developing data models and forecasting tools for operational needs. The analyst will also identify business challenges and opportunities to drive operational improvements, build scalable analytics infrastructure, and oversee the development and maintenance of the company's data warehouse. Collaboration with Operations leadership to understand data needs and provide actionable insights, as well as empowering Operations teams with self-service analytics tools, are also core responsibilities.
