Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and J.D. from an accredited law school
  • Minimum 4 years of related experience required
  • Knowledge of broker-dealer and banking regulations
  • Expertise and knowledge in financial markets and broker-dealer products and services, along with brokerage and banking regulations and Nacha operating rules
  • Experience and comfort in dealing with ambiguity and working in a fast-paced environment, while independently juggling multiple initiatives
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills with ability to communicate effectively
  • Applies a partnership-focused philosophy to accomplishing objectives

Responsibilities

  • Provide legal and regulatory advice related to all aspects of the Cash Management business, including strategy, sales, marketing, operations and risk management
  • Advise on FINRA, SEC and related banking regulations with a solutions-oriented mindset on product development, such as pricing, rate strategy, client segmentation, bill pay and debit and credit cards
  • Draft and maintain client account agreements, related vendor and servicing agreements and regulatory disclosures
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to ensure a thorough understanding of business needs and objectives
  • Support client-related issues, including complaints and fraud-related events; support regulatory exams, inquiries and actions
  • Collaborate with Compliance, Risk, Audit and other shared service functions, to evaluate and establish appropriate governance and oversight; ensure appropriate policies, procedures and supervisory framework
  • Monitors, analyzes, and responds to legislative and regulatory developments related to brokerage and cash management activities and investment products
