Requirements

A bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or a related field is required, along with a minimum of 3 years of experience in contracts administration, preferably in defense, aerospace, or government contracting. Candidates must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong negotiation, problem-solving, and risk management abilities. U.S. citizenship is mandatory due to government contracts, and all employment is contingent upon successful background check clearance. Familiarity with ITAR, EAR, and government property management is preferred.

Responsibilities

The Senior Contracts Administrator will draft, review, and negotiate various agreements, including government, commercial, and subcontractor contracts. They will provide guidance on FAR/DFARS, export control, intellectual property, and other regulations to minimize risk and ensure compliance. This role involves reviewing new contracts and modifications for accuracy, flagging compliance and business risks, and ensuring customer and government requirements are met. The administrator will interpret complex contractual terms, act as a point of contact for customers and subcontractors, maintain contract files, assist with contract closeout activities, and travel to the LA office as needed.
