Position Overview

We are seeking a Construction Administrator to oversee field operations for K-12 and Higher Education facility projects in the Houston area. This role includes ensuring compliance with project plans and specifications, coordinating with clients and agencies, and managing construction documentation such as RFIs, submittals, and change orders. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.

Your Impact

  • Field oversight of construction projects, including documentation, meetings, and coordination with various entities. Most construction projects are for K-12 and Higher Education facilities
  • Verify that the work performed is in accordance with plans and specifications and maintain logs of project progress
  • Review pay estimates, inspection reports and submittals, RFI’s and change orders
  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, and governing agencies as needed
  • Process work during bidding, including attending pre-bid meetings, preparing addenda, and reviewing Pre-bid RFI’s

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or related field
  • 3+ years construction administration experience
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to read construction documents
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and adjust work accordingly
  • Strong communication written and verbal skills
  • Ability to interact with senior management, external client organizations and vendors
