Candidates should possess a strong knowledge of Cloud Infrastructure Environments, including deployment and monitoring of available, scalable, and secure environments. Proficiency in programming and scripting languages such as Python and Cloud Formation is required, along with knowledge of System Administration for both Linux and Windows servers. Strong technical skills in networking, security, and database design are essential, as is familiarity with software development tools like version control, build processes, debuggers, and test frameworks. The ability to work independently, adapt to new technologies, and communicate effectively is also necessary.
The Senior Cloud Engineer II will design, test, expand, implement, monitor, and document cloud services used in the product, collaborating with cross-functional teams. This role involves driving improvement projects for deployment, security, and performance, while also supporting scripting, automation, and code reviews. Responsibilities include designing and building cloud computing solutions and infrastructure, architecting solutions for moving applications to cloud environments like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and troubleshooting scalability, high availability, performance, monitoring, and backup/restoration issues. The engineer will also assist with cloud server deployment, automation, and security, review and implement cloud infrastructure security policies, ensure proactive diagnostics and monitoring are in place, and architect automation solutions to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
