Requirements
Candidates should possess a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent qualification, along with 10+ years of experience in software development and architecture, specifically focusing on cloud security or related fields. At least 5 years of experience as an Application Architect at a product-based company is required, demonstrating expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-level software solutions using cloud technologies. Strong knowledge of data security practices, cryptography, and secure coding standards, along with proficiency in multi-threading, memory management, and performance tuning, is essential. Familiarity with security frameworks, encryption technologies, and the secure development lifecycle (SDLC) is also necessary.
Responsibilities
The Application Architect will lead the design and development of secure, scalable, and maintainable architectures for Protegrity’s data security products, defining the technical strategy and roadmap to ensure seamless integration across platforms. They will collaborate with engineering teams to ensure high-quality product development and timely release cycles, emphasizing performance, security, and platform compatibility, while providing hands-on guidance and decision-making in the use of technologies such as Java, C, Python, and other relevant tools/frameworks. The role involves integrating robust security practices into the architecture and development process, ensuring products comply with industry standards, working closely with product managers, engineering teams, DevOps, and QA teams to align architectural goals with business needs, and leading efforts to ensure scalability and high performance under various workloads and environments. Furthermore, the Application Architect will define and document architectural patterns, best practices, and development standards, mentoring development teams on their adoption, and staying updated on emerging technologies, tools, and trends in data security, cloud architecture, and platform development, bringing innovative ideas to enhance product capabilities and performance.
