Requirements

Candidates must possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field, with excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. A proven record of leading a small, diverse team supporting a large user base is required, along with experience in machine learning, data mining, statistical analysis, developing and deploying large-scale cloud frameworks, strong Python programming skills, and experience with large-scale data processing and distributed computing technologies. A Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related field, experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure, and experience with machine learning in the autonomous driving domain are considered bonus points.

Responsibilities

The Principal Engineer will lead a team of engineers to deliver critical software for autonomous vehicle ML models and software development, driving innovation through research and development of new large-scale data warehousing and analysis. They will own large-scale data analysis workflows to identify impacts of changes to ML models and software, build high-quality datasets for ML product improvement, and provide statistical depth on model performance through error and change analysis. Additionally, they will provide technical leadership and mentorship, foster collaboration, manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables.
