Candidates should possess at least 5 years of relevant software development experience building and operating scalable, fault-tolerant, distributed systems, along with experience building operators with Kubernetes and a controller runtime. Production experience with programming languages such as Go or C++ is required, and familiarity with a public cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and their infrastructure as a service offerings is essential. Experience with Data Storage, Ingestion, and Transformation tools like Spark or Kafka is also desired, as is a passion for solving data problems at scale.
This Senior Cloud Data Infrastructure Engineer will build a cutting-edge Cloud Native platform on top of the public cloud, improve the metrics pipeline and build algorithms to generate better autoscaling statistics and recommendations, and work on the autoscale and Kubernetes operator to support seamless Vertical and Horizontal Auto-scaling. They will collaborate closely with the ClickHouse core development team and other data plane teams, partnering with them to support auto-scaling use cases and other internal infrastructure improvements, and architecting and building a robust, scalable, and highly available distributed infrastructure.
