Requirements

  • Field-based position supporting Abbott’s Vascular division, with focus on vessel closure products
  • Expertise in technical procedures and products for case coverage in hospital settings (e.g., Cardiac Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology Lab, Operating Room)
  • Ability to focus on Electrophysiologists, Interventional Cardiologists, and hospital staff for small and large bore arterial/venous vessel closure portfolio
  • Skills in meeting with physicians, office groups, and hospital personnel to identify clinical needs and demonstrate products
  • Capability to develop relationships, make new contacts, and identify key decision makers in hospitals
  • Experience providing clinical support, troubleshooting, and in-service education
  • Proficiency in educating customers via presentations and demonstrations using various formats (e.g., slides, manuals)
  • Readiness to attend clinical procedures to ensure customer and patient success
  • Ability to respond to customer needs/complaints with creative solutions or collaboration (e.g., with sales, clinical research, marketing, product development)
  • Availability to support the broader Region as needed

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the technical procedure and product expert for case coverage in hospital settings
  • Provide case planning, case support coverage, and product pull-through in the designated territory and Region
  • Promote Vascular products through education, service, and training of customers in hospitals
  • Offer clinical education and sales support to achieve sales goals, increase revenues, and grow market share, with heavy focus on Vessel Closure
  • Meet with existing and potential customers to identify needs, goals, constraints, and demonstrate how products meet them
  • Develop relationships with hospital personnel, make new contacts, and identify key decision makers
  • Act as primary resource for clinical support, troubleshooting, and in-service education
  • Educate customers on product merits, usage, latest developments, therapies, and industry updates via presentations and demonstrations
  • Attend clinical procedures to ensure customer and patient success with Vascular products
  • Respond to customer needs and complaints by developing solutions or collaborating with related personnel
