Requirements

  • Field-based position supporting Abbott’s Vascular division, primarily responsible for case planning, case support coverage, and product pull-through in designated territory and region as needed
  • Heavy focus on Vessel Closure products
  • Ability to serve as technical procedure and product expert in hospital settings
  • Experience meeting with existing and potential customers (e.g., physicians, physician office groups at hospitals) to identify clinical needs, goals, and constraints
  • Capability to develop relationships with hospital personnel, make new contacts, and identify key decision makers
  • Serve as primary resource for clinical support, troubleshooting, and in-service education
  • Skills in educating customers via presentations and demonstrations using various formats (e.g., slides, transparencies, manuals)
  • Ability to attend clinical procedures in Cardiac Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology Lab, and Operating Room
  • Respond to customer needs and complaints by developing solutions or collaborating with sales, clinical research, marketing, and product development teams
  • Support broader region with case support as needed

Responsibilities

  • Promote Vascular products through education, service, and training of customers in hospital settings
  • Provide clinical education and sales support to achieve projected sales goals, increase sales revenues, and market share
  • Serve as technical procedure and product expert for case coverage in hospitals
  • Meet with customers to discuss and demonstrate how Vascular products meet clinical needs and goals
  • Develop relationships with hospital personnel and identify key decision makers
  • Provide clinical support, troubleshooting, and in-service education for company products
  • Educate customers on product merits, clinical usage, latest developments, and industry updates via presentations and demonstrations
  • Attend clinical procedures to ensure customer and patient success with Vascular products
  • Respond to customer needs and complaints with creative solutions or team collaboration
  • Support case coverage in the broader region as needed
