Requirements

Candidates must possess a Master's degree or equivalent experience in Life Sciences, with a PhD or equivalent experience being preferred. A solid background in Genetics and an understanding of the Microarray business, workflow, and applications are essential. A minimum of 5 years of sales experience in life sciences, with a proven track record in handling complex deals and projects, is required. The role necessitates the ability to travel up to 75% of the time, an outstanding grasp of success metrics and territory planning, and cultural awareness to work effectively in a matrix organization. Fluency in English is mandatory, with German being an advantage and other local languages appreciated.

Responsibilities

The Senior Business Development Manager will develop and implement sales strategies to achieve ambitious business growth targets in the Central region, including Germany, Switzerland, Austria, and V4 countries. They will build and maintain strategic relationships with key accounts and opinion leaders, and deliver compelling presentations to highlight capabilities and value propositions. Responsibilities include identifying prospective opportunities in Human Predictive Genomic, Pre-natal, Post-natal, and Oncology areas, conducting business in local terms, and driving compliance with company procedures and regulations. The role involves researching new market opportunities, working effectively in a matrix and dispersed region with extensive travel, coordinating key projects, and fostering teamwork and alliances across businesses.
