Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Accounting, or equivalent with a strong academic record
  • CPA certification (or local equivalent such as ACCA, ACA, or CIMA)
  • 5-7 years of directly related experience, including transformation projects
  • Experience in FinTech or Financial Services is an advantage; however, industry experience in Financial Control is crucial
  • Up-to-date technical skills and confident in preparing IFRS and Japanese GAAP financial statements
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Highly motivated and able to work towards tight deadlines on multiple projects in a fast-paced work environment
  • Hands-on, self-motivated, with excellent communication skills, and able to work to deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Internal financial reporting and analysis, including the monthly and annual close for the assigned legal entities
  • External Audit coordination and primary point of contact for external auditors for assigned legal entities
  • Finance transformation-focused initiatives within APAC and involvement with the Group Finance team
  • Identifying and implementing continuous process improvement and efficiencies
  • Working with the Group Technical Accounting team to implement relevant Accounting standards
  • Evaluating the opportunities for consistency of local GAAP applications
  • Assisting with the development of processes, procedures, and financial controls
  • Ad-hoc project & analysis work
  • Take the lead in financial analysis preparation, resolving accounting issues, participating in ad hoc projects, plus managing the annual external audits for the assigned legal entities
