As a Senior Analyst, Portfolio Strategy, you will provide valuable insights to drive business growth, working within a small team reporting to the Director of Portfolio Strategy. This role involves designing and tracking pricing and credit strategies, assisting the Portfolio Strategy department and executive team in understanding emerging trends and key business performance drivers, and collaborating with departments like Sales and Underwriting.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with senior team members to assess and manage portfolio risk, ensuring alignment with organizational risk tolerance.
  • Provide reporting and analysis of pricing and profitability to senior management regarding the portfolio and pricing initiatives.
  • Assess potential impacts of new strategies on the current portfolio.
  • Continually monitor performance data models and offer recommendations on policy changes related to data models.
  • Engage in exploratory initiatives to identify and develop new business strategies.
  • Work closely with senior team members to implement and execute strategic initiatives.
  • Identify and assess new data sources to bolster the company’s underwriting and analytics capabilities.

Requirements

  • Intellectual curiosity and strong quantitative skills.
  • 5+ years of experience in an analytically driven role (finance, analytics, consulting, etc.).
  • Familiarity with risk and pricing strategies is preferred.
  • Self-starter with a drive to outperform and attention to detail.
  • Ability to build long-lasting relationships with key contacts at all levels of the organization.
  • Proficient in SQL, Tableau (or similar).
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, nested IF statements, etc.), PowerPoint, and related tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Python programming skills.
  • Consumer or small business lending experience.
