Requirements

7+ years of relevant experience in Occupational Safety, Health, and Environmental Management in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment (global diversified company)
Bachelor’s Degree in EHS management, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, Health & Safety, Environmental Engineering, or closely related technical discipline
EHS Certification e.g., CHMM, CSP preferred
Strong knowledge in Machine Safety, NFPA 70E, LOTO, Ergonomic, Hoist & crane, management systems, EHS local regulation
Bilingual (Spanish, English), some level of Portuguese preferred

Responsibilities

Business partner with EHS Manager, Project leader
Support for Plant manager & Regional EHS Director
Ensure full compliance with MOC
Conduct machine risk assessment and warranty full machine safety compliance
Conduct ergonomic risk assessment and suggest risk reduction actions
Compliance Assurance (all legal compliance and SBD policies)
Directly support the interpretation, translation, and implementation for execution of EHS programs and policies
Lead incident investigations, create 4-Block summaries including validation of root cause and sustainable corrective actions
Support all MOC activities
Support the project to be aligned to environmental objectives (achieving Zero Waste to Landfill, energy and water conservation)
Provide EHS training for contractors and project people
Participate and lead agency inspection response requirements for EHS legal authorities (related to project)
Assure Applicable Permit compliance & data entry
