Requirements

  • 7+ years of relevant experience in Occupational Safety, Health, and Environmental Management in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment (global diversified company)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in EHS management, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, Health & Safety, Environmental Engineering, or closely related technical discipline
  • EHS Certification e.g., CHMM, CSP preferred
  • Strong knowledge in Machine Safety, NFPA 70E, LOTO, Ergonomic, Hoist & crane, management systems, EHS local regulation
  • Bilingual (Spanish, English), some level of Portuguese preferred

Responsibilities

  • Business partner with EHS Manager, Project leader
  • Support for Plant manager & Regional EHS Director
  • Ensure full compliance with MOC
  • Conduct machine risk assessment and warranty full machine safety compliance
  • Conduct ergonomic risk assessment and suggest risk reduction actions
  • Compliance Assurance (all legal compliance and SBD policies)
  • Directly support the interpretation, translation, and implementation for execution of EHS programs and policies
  • Lead incident investigations, create 4-Block summaries including validation of root cause and sustainable corrective actions
  • Support all MOC activities
  • Support the project to be aligned to environmental objectives (achieving Zero Waste to Landfill, energy and water conservation)
  • Provide EHS training for contractors and project people
  • Participate and lead agency inspection response requirements for EHS legal authorities (related to project)
  • Assure Applicable Permit compliance & data entry
