Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred. They must have at least 4 years of experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain analytics, with a focus on US ground transportation (parcel, LTL, truckload). Strong analytical skills are required, along with proficiency in Excel, SQL, and data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau. Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) platforms like Oracle, SAP TM, Manhattan, or MercuryGate is highly desirable. A solid understanding of carrier operations, freight rate structures, and transportation regulations is also necessary.
The Transportation Analyst will be responsible for analyzing transportation network performance using key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery, cost per shipment, carrier utilization, and exception rates. They will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify and implement process improvements, develop and maintain dashboards and reports to drive visibility into carrier performance and spend trends, support annual freight procurement activities, and provide data-driven insights to support strategic transportation initiatives. Additionally, the analyst will conduct root cause analysis of service failures, support budgeting and forecasting, and stay current on industry trends and regulations.
