Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in Strategy Consulting, Corporate Strategy / Development, or other related field, preferably within software/technology or automotive/mobility industries
  • Excellent presentation skills and ability to develop executive-ready materials in PowerPoint or Google Slides
  • High level of intellectual curiosity and ability to grasp new concepts quickly
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret both quantitative and qualitative data and synthesize multiple data sources into a cohesive, executive-level deliverable
  • Ability to multitask and work in an organized, detailed manner
  • Self-starter with the ability to deal with ambiguity

Responsibilities

  • Conduct primary and secondary research on market trends and competitive dynamics in the autonomous mobility space to inform Motional’s long-term strategy
  • Develop and maintain competitor benchmarking materials outlining key movements, commercial and technology strategies, and financial performance to deliver insights to Motional’s management team
  • Assist in preparing materials for Board of Directors meetings and other official communications with shareholders
  • Develop and maintain a dynamic market sizing model to quantify total addressable market (TAM) for Motional’s target markets/use cases
  • Partner with Finance and Commercialization teams to support ongoing maintenance of Motional’s commercial business plan and conduct scenario analysis to pressure test key assumptions
  • Support Engineering teams to develop strategic product roadmaps and assess new opportunities to leverage Motional’s technology, and prepare materials for executive review
  • Conduct secondary research to support various strategy development projects (e.g., transportation landscape across key regions, regulatory analysis, product and competitive analysis, etc.)
