Candidates must have at least 3 years of quota-carrying B2B sales experience with a focus on net-new prospect acquisition, demonstrating success in consultative, solution-selling within the tech industry, ideally in SaaS, cloud, big data, or open-source. Experience applying structured sales methodologies like MEDDPICC, Challenger, or SPIN, a track record of exceeding quota in competitive markets, excellent communication and storytelling skills, strong organizational and time management abilities, a team-first mindset, high integrity, and fluency in Spanish are required. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is preferred, along with a willingness to travel.
The Senior Account Executive will own the full sales cycle for net-new customer acquisition in their assigned Mid-market/Enterprise territory, from prospecting to closing deals. This includes proactively identifying, qualifying, and engaging prospects to build a strong pipeline, developing and presenting compelling value propositions, and partnering with Solutions Engineers and Services teams to design effective solutions. The role involves driving the use of strategic sales methodologies to build deal structures, forecast accurately, and close business, while building and nurturing relationships with C-level and senior stakeholders. Collaboration with marketing, business development, and channel teams to maximize territory potential, and staying informed about Confluent's offerings and the data infrastructure landscape are also key responsibilities. Travel to customer sites will be required as needed.
