Proven experience in leading security operations, incident response, and basic digital forensics
Strong understanding and hands-on experience with SIEM and SOAR platforms
Familiarity with penetration testing methodologies and tools
Experience building and managing an on-call rotation
Familiarity with AWS and cloud security concepts
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to explain technical information to individuals in different departments, including executive leadership
Strong leadership and team management skills
Passion for learning and staying current with cybersecurity threats and technologies
Commitment to supporting the team over personal goals

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and manage a team of incident responders who stay on top of the latest threats to the business (Program Leadership)
Oversee and participate in the incident response lifecycle, from detection and analysis to containment, eradication, and post-incident review (Incident Response)
Manage the endpoint security tooling deployment and tuning (Endpoint Security)
Develop, measure, and continuously improve internal security metrics to assess the effectiveness of security operations and seek improvements (Metrics & Reporting)
Effectively communicate technical concepts and security strategies to technical teams, executive leadership, and other stakeholders (Stakeholder Engagement)
Execute internal penetration tests and mentor analysts learning how to perform testing. Oversee external penetration testing engagements (Penetration Testing)
Train junior analysts, mature the security program, and plan support for business growth
