The ideal candidate will have experience as a middle school and/or high school science teacher, with a strong background in curriculum writing and development. A proven ability to create digital learning resources aligned with NGSS standards and experience with educator professional learning activities are required. Familiarity with PBS Learning Media and a commitment to equitable learning practices are also necessary.
The Science Curriculum Specialist will conceptualize and develop science digital learning resources and accompanying teacher and student support materials. Responsibilities include identifying and cataloging existing resources, identifying curriculum gaps, informing the development of new resources like videos and interactive lessons, and ensuring adherence to the GBH Science and Engineering Framework and the Framework for K–12 Science Education. The role also involves correlating educational materials to curriculum standards, writing and editing content, and collaborating with various teams including producers, subject matter experts, and instructional designers.
