High school diploma or equivalent (GED) (preferred)
Sanitation knowledge, skills, and capabilities (preferred)
Previous safety training (preferred)
Prior food industry experience (preferred)
Familiarity with bakery equipment (preferred)
Excellent communication skills (preferred)
Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Ability to communicate and work effectively in a team structure
Flexibility in work assignments within the sanitation utility category (Pan Setter, Feeder, Packer/Carton, Packer/Cases, Shipping Stacker, Handler, Sanitor, Receiver, Palletizer)
Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions
Ability to safely and accurately complete assigned duties
Ability to maintain GMP standards
Physical ability to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms; occasionally sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Ability to push and pull heavy items (trash carts, dough carts, portable equipment, catch pans)
Specific vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus

Responsibilities
Adhere to established procedures to provide a safe working environment, including complying with OSHA, state/local, federal, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) procedures
Maintain a clean and orderly environment to protect the safety and health of others
Clean floors, lights, walls, windows, ceilings, restrooms, breakroom, coolers, wash rack, equipment (e.g., mixer, oven, hand truck) in various areas of the bakery
Properly clean and maintain housekeeping equipment
Follow procedures for storage and disposal of trash and transport it to designated areas
Clean and sanitize one line of equipment and environment pre- and post-production
Clean and police grounds
Report all equipment issues to the supervisor or manager as soon as possible
Understand and comply with all safety procedures that apply to daily operations
Work safely and follow proper lock out/tag out procedure where applicable
Maintain excellent customer service and positive attitude towards guests, customers, clients, coworkers, etc
Adhere to safety policies and procedures including proper food safety and sanitation
