Requirements

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Excellent prospecting, communication, presentation, and networking skills
  • Works well independently and as part of a team
  • Incentive-driven sales “hunter”
  • Professional demeanor and impeccable integrity
  • High sense of urgency and innate sales talent
  • Enjoys cold-calling and speaking with people face to face
  • Knowledge of Restaurant and/or Retail industry is a plus
  • Regular short-distance travel to visit client sites
  • Completion of mandatory drug screening on or near 60th day of employment

Responsibilities

  • Prospecting and running Heartland Point of Sale presentations both in person and over the phone to small and mid-sized merchants, restaurateurs, and businesses to close deals
  • Explaining value proposition and demonstrating cloud-based Point of Sale solution
  • Upselling current clients on other Heartland products and services
  • Maintaining regular communication with the Point of Sale District Manager
  • Closing sales of business solutions with merchants
  • Working with District Manager to set appointments with business owners via network and referral partnerships
  • Running scheduled appointments, uncovering needs, and presenting solutions to close sales
  • Prospecting new clients
  • Maintaining existing/prospective client records in CRM systems (Atlas and Salesforce), including call notes, scheduled interactions, contact information, and other relevant data
  • Achieving minimum production requirements, including setting first time appointments, to secure quota
  • Continuously building knowledge of product/service portfolio and developments in the financial technology industry
  • Attending weekly team meetings and one-on-ones with leader
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned
