Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences or other relevant degree
  • At least 2 years of selling experience in the medical device industry
  • At least 2 years of experience in the Electrophysiology field
  • Fluency in English
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and other systems applications in data processing
  • Self-motivated and able to work with a minimum of supervision
  • Competitive and winning mindset
  • Full clean driver license
  • Located in Bilbao (covering Basque Country territory)
  • 3D mapping experience is highly valued
  • Marketing knowledge is valuable

Responsibilities

  • Analyzing the marketplace, developing an effective territory/account sales strategy, and presenting the strategy to management to gain approval for implementation
  • Performing all activities to maximize sales (in line with the sales strategy) from product introduction and presentation to contract negotiation, as well as identifying, preparing, and executing upcoming tenders
  • Identifying and addressing all key decision makers (clinical, administrative/economic) and key opinion leaders in all accounts and reporting on them via the provided systems and personally to the district manager on a regular basis
  • Further increasing penetration in existing accounts, developing existing accounts into potential new product therapies/patient therapies, and developing actual non-buying accounts
  • Providing technical support to customers (i.e., physicians, consultants, cardiologists) and supporting procedures when required, and ensuring that consignment and all other stock levels are properly controlled according to the asset management guidelines and targets
  • Planning and preparing sales forecasts by account, product, and therapy for the territory along with proposed meetings/customer activities and investments
  • Reporting and regularly updating all account, market, and competitive information and trends and metrics in a comprehensive, complete, and timely fashion
  • Carrying out all administrative duties and all necessary reports in a timely and diligent manner (i.e., customer reports, stock reports, monthly reports, etc.)
  • Maintaining and developing Cardiac Ablation Solutions (CAS) business with existing and new customers in line with the Iberia Business Manager and business strategies in the defined sales territory while meeting or exceeding financial and non-financial targets, enhancing Medtronic’s reputation in the market
