Requirements

  • University degree, preferably in nutrition or health-related field
  • For Sales Representative: Relevant industry experience preferred
  • For Senior Specialist: At least 7 years of experience
  • For Specialist: At least 5 years of experience, including at least 2 years of successful sales supervision/management experience
  • Experience in tender contract management and KOL management
  • Detailed understanding of commercial principles supporting the medical/pharma market
  • Excellent communication, analysis, and negotiation skills
  • Excellent customer insight skills, including integrating digital tools/platforms with traditional touchpoints, interpreting online/offline customer behavior, and converting to strategic actions
  • Ability to observe team members' strengths and development needs, identify key development actions
  • Ability to influence internal/external stakeholders at all levels
  • Comfort with complex problems, critical thinking, and problem-solving (mental agility)
  • Ability to connect data/insights and make ideas understandable and actionable for others
  • Ability to link customer plans to regional plans and overall brand strategy (short/long-term)
  • Collaboration with cross-functional partners (e.g., marketing) to optimize customer/market data quality

Responsibilities

  • Achieve personal goals and assist new business team members in meeting KPIs through experience sharing
  • Use real-time omnichannel business intelligence to analyze market, category, and channel opportunities in the region to increase market share at customer/client levels
  • Leverage business analytics data and customer insights to analyze regional growth potential, develop omnichannel engagement strategies to make Abbott the preferred brand
  • Integrate customer omnichannel engagement strategies, develop and support execution of customer plans
  • Implement marketing plans with medical representatives on target customers/clients, including teaching, execution, and tracking impact/success
  • Provide progressive real-time training and feedback to medical representatives on all aspects of customer interactions, including observation
  • Accelerate digital knowledge and application through coaching, training, and role modeling among medical representatives
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers/clients via digital, remote/virtual, and face-to-face channels to increase Abbott brand/product awareness and loyalty
  • Collaborate with training/SFE department to identify knowledge/skill gaps in the team, optimize performance, and develop individual development plans to enhance regional capabilities
  • Provide direct, ongoing support to field medical representatives through collaborative problem-solving, coaching, training, feedback, and escalation
  • Develop and expand KOL network in the region to influence all levels of clients (not just HCPs)
  • Cross-functional collaboration with marketing to collect/interpret customer/market behavior data and convert omnichannel engagement data into real-world activities
  • Demonstrate integrity and transparency, set example for ethical behavior, comply with laws and regulations
  • Increase Abbott product importance, demand, and sales across all customer levels (medical, HCPs, etc.) in the region/domain to boost market share
  • Enhance customer interaction outcomes across all platforms/channels at all levels in the region/domain
  • Increase patient/customer interactions with Abbott brand/products in the region/domain
  • Increase Abbott KOL saturation in the region
