Requirements

  • Currently P&C licensed or ability to be licensed to market and bind coverage within 60 days
  • Personal lines insurance sales experience, preferred
  • College degree or equivalent work experience, required
  • Strong sales acumen and willingness to adopt adjustments in sales processes
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with clients, colleagues, and other professionals (phone or in-person)
  • Excellent moral and ethical integrity
  • Ability to self-motivate
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, required
  • Experience with AMS or CRM software, preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple customer-related activities simultaneously
  • Motivated to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Responsibilities

  • Build rapport and trust with potential customers from initial phone call
  • Collect information from potential customers to determine comprehensive insurance needs and attempt to close the sale
  • Quote and advise potential customers on best products and services to minimize risk
  • Close sales of personal lines property and casualty insurance products upon completion of the quoting process
  • Cross-sell lines of coverage
  • Issue policies with appropriate carriers and follow up on any necessary trailing documents
  • Collaborate with the Account Management/Service team to meet customer needs
  • Continuously develop new product and carrier knowledge
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
