Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent years of relevant work experience
  • Valid driver's license
  • Legal authorization to work in the US (no sponsorship for employment visas)
  • Typically 5+ years of relevant sales leadership experience (preferred)
  • Ability to travel greater than 50% of time (preferred)
  • Prior experience in technical sales or strategic account management (preferred)
  • Bachelor of Science degree in an Engineering discipline (preferred). Additional business-related degree/experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of six Strategic Account Managers overseeing approximately 20 strategic accounts representing more than $60M in business
  • Execute an outcome-based selling process with account managers to ensure opportunities exist to achieve or exceed annual sales goals
  • Develop strategies and plans to create new opportunities through top-to-top executive engagements, capabilities, technology overviews, and positioning strategic offerings
  • Recruit, develop, and effectively performance manage an engaged staff capable of exceeding assigned annual sales goals
  • Support employee development by investing time and resources for both formal and informal training and execute development plans/opportunities for the team
  • Clearly articulate and teach the Rockwell Automation Digital Transformation message to Sales Account Managers
  • Develop and maintain key executive relationships for long-term business success
  • Engage with executive leadership with key Solution Partners and Systems Integrators in the delivery strategy
  • Engage with key customers and opportunities to ensure Rockwell Automation's best chance for success
  • Coordinate cross territory/region/country pursuits with appropriate sales teams and partners
  • Analyze local market information and provide ongoing local market intelligence to help future strategic accounts within the region
  • Ensure thorough familiarity with company policies and procedures, and appropriately apply them in compliance with government laws (e.g., Standards of Business Conduct, Intellectual Property, Control Environment, Information Protection, ISO 9000 & 14000, health, safety, quality, and environmental regulations)
