Requirements

  • 3–5 years of proven experience in sales, ideally in events, exhibitions, or tourism
  • Strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Excellent networking, prospecting, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative, and manage priorities effectively
  • Professional proficiency in Spanish and intermediate–advanced English (will be assessed during the process)
  • Experience working with major brands in destinations for events, hospitality, airlines, groups transportation, or event production (desirable)
  • Familiarity with CRM systems is a plus
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills

Responsibilities

  • Meet IBTM Americas sales and revenue goals
  • Prospect, identify, and secure new clients within the events and tourism sector
  • Generate opportunities through networking, referrals, and industry events
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of strategic and corporate accounts with high potential
  • Provide timely follow-up to leads generated through marketing campaigns
  • Build long-term relationships with decision-makers and industry partners
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure client needs are met and issues are resolved
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client interactions in the CRM system
  • Monitor, track, and report on sales KPIs and progress toward targets
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of sales processes
  • Stay informed about market trends, competitors, and emerging opportunities in the events industry
