Requirements

  • Proven industry experience in IT systems delivery: at least 5 years (senior level) or 10 years (principal level)
  • Deep relevant experience within financial markets (buyside, sell side, market infrastructure)
  • Willingness to consider those currently or previously worked in a consulting capacity
  • Technical background as a developer, architect, or IT delivery role with significant exposure to tech details including operating systems, development languages, database technology, network technology, DevOps processes and tooling, plus interest in base technology
  • Talent in explaining/communicating technology; excited by technology and thrives on enthusing others about it
  • Proven industry experience working with business stakeholders and external clients
  • Good understanding of IT practices related to financial applications
  • Knowledge of typical flows and functionality associated with handling business flows in one or more asset types: equities, fixed income, FX, listed futures and options, OTC derivatives
  • Ability to constructively participate and critique in technical and functional discussions with talented technical architects and lead developers
  • Technical and commercially minded, focused on exploring client needs
  • Self-starter with a solution-oriented mindset

Responsibilities

  • Interfacing with client prospects (Business Sponsors, IT Managers, IT Architects, Senior Developers) pre-sales and explaining/demonstrating how the Genesis Platform solves their business needs
  • Demonstrating example applications built on the Platform to highlight its power for delivering new financial markets applications
  • Explaining and demonstrating the development environment and tools for building apps on the Platform
  • Designing and executing proof-of-concept (POC) applications using Genesis platform tooling to demonstrate value and qualify client requirements
  • Explaining the Platform application architecture
  • Explaining the project process and life cycles for building applications (by Genesis with client input, client self-build, or collaboratively)
  • Handling and responding to questions/concerns around hosted infrastructure, security, testing, and release processes
