Requirements

Candidates should have at least 2 years of experience in a Sales Engineering, Solutions Engineering, or Consulting role within the data space, ideally with experience in modern data tools such as Snowflake, Databricks, Fivetran, or Tableau. Familiarity with core data engineering concepts like orchestration, ELT, Git, and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) is required. Strong verbal and written communication skills, curiosity, customer empathy, and a drive to innovate are also essential. Bonus points are awarded for hands-on Python scripting skills, experience with Apache Airflow or other open-source data tools, background in designing data workflows, customer-facing technical or consultative experience, and experience with Command Line Interfaces (CLI).

Responsibilities

The Sales Engineer will guide clients in deploying data workflows to accelerate business outcomes, design and implement proof-of-concept solutions to address customer data challenges, and conduct demos while providing technical guidance to engineering teams. They will also contribute to the Apache Airflow community by creating technical content and best practices, gather field insights to provide feedback to the Product team, and become an expert in Airflow and workflow orchestration.
