Requirements

  • 8+ years of enterprise sales experience, with at least 5 years specifically selling database, data infrastructure, or related enterprise software solutions
  • Proven hunter mentality with demonstrated ability to identify and capture new business
  • Consistent record of exceeding sales targets and quotas
  • A strong understanding of database technologies, cloud infrastructure, and data management challenges is highly preferred
  • Experience selling to technical buyers (CIOs, CTOs, VP Engineering, Enterprise Architects)
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with open-source software sales models
  • Knowledge of MySQL, PostgreSQL, or distributed database systems is highly preferred
  • Prior experience at a database, cloud, or infrastructure company
  • Experience working in a high-growth technology company

Responsibilities

  • Aggressively build and maintain a robust sales pipeline across India
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through strategic prospecting
  • Develop and execute territory sales strategies to exceed revenue targets
  • Build and nurture relationships with C-level executives and key decision-makers
  • Collaborate with pre-sales, product, and marketing teams to create compelling solutions
  • Represent TiDB at industry events, conferences, and user groups
  • Provide market intelligence and customer feedback to help shape product roadmap
