Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field, and demonstrate at least 5 years of experience in a safety management role, preferably within a food manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, hazard communication standards, and ergonomic principles is essential, along with the ability to interpret and apply safety laws and guidelines.
The Safety Manager will formulate and drive a proactive local safety strategy to establish a sustainable, healthy, and operationally safe plant, participate in the development of a visionary safety framework, contribute to efforts aimed at eliminating safety issues, facilitate the development of a safety culture, direct safety programs site-wide, recommend and implement new initiatives, measure the effectiveness of safety programs, ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, inspect machinery and equipment, maintain OSHA files, report potential violations, analyze accident statistics, and communicate safety procedures to plant personnel.
