Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or a related scientific field, and a Master’s degree is preferred. A minimum of 8 years of experience in bakery science and engineering, with at least 5 years in a management role is required. Strong knowledge of food science principles, bakery operations, and quality control systems is essential, along with experience in developing and implementing technical training programs.
As Senior Manager, Bakery Science and Engineering, you will initiate and deliver operational savings projects to support SBA savings goals, develop relationships with key technical resources in manufacturing plants, identify loss opportunities across SBA Operations, and partner with Operations and cross-functional teams to complete loss analysis and identify opportunities. You will prioritize projects, champion increased standardization for ingredients and equipment, provide food science expertise to team members, directly lead complex projects, and own bakery science technical training for plant resources. Furthermore, you will support quality improvements, resolve quality issues at plants through root cause analysis, partner with R&D to review CQV plans, and participate in Technical Readiness reviews for initiatives.
