Candidates must possess a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in food sciences, food safety, microbiology, or a related field, and must hold HACCP & PCQI certification. Extensive experience with quality and food safety in food or beverage processing, particularly in a co-manufacturing environment, is required, along with comprehensive knowledge of food safety regulations, quality and food safety program development, and implementation. Demonstrated effective communication skills, experience with root cause analysis, and understanding of technical governance are also necessary.
The Senior Manager, Quality & Food Safety will develop, manage, monitor, and improve the organization’s quality and food safety programs, ensuring adherence to company standards and regulations. They will monitor and audit food safety and quality systems, implement QFS strategies, lead programs such as HACCP maturity and EMP, provide direction and leadership in QFS, coordinate activities for managing food safety and quality risks, deliver training, report performance to stakeholders, and stay updated on new regulations and practices. They will also provide guidance on quality and food safety policies, coordinate with stakeholders and contractors, and continuously improve quality and food safety performance.
