  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Safety in an accredited program with a GPA of 2.5 or above
  • Valid driver’s license and vehicle required
  • Preferred: Reside in the St. Louis Metropolitan area or Missouri, Illinois, or Iowa and be willing to travel
  • Proficiency with MS Office preferred
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Work with direct supervision and participate in a geographically dispersed team environment often requiring virtual meetings
  • Working knowledge of OSHA and other regulatory agency standards

Responsibilities

  • Analysis of soft tissue injury records to identify trends for targeted analysis and interventions
  • Analysis of the interaction between co-workers and machinery/equipment
  • Assessing the effect of work environments on co-workers
  • Identifying possible improvements and assisting with implementation
  • Offer information, advice, and recommendations to Ameren Safety department
  • Compiling and presenting professional information in reports and verbally
  • Liaising with other professionals in Ameren Safety, health specialists, and designers
  • Assisting in the investigation of soft tissue injuries and illnesses
  • Works a standard work week in an office and field environment; may require occasional overtime (evenings, weekends), overnight travel, and support during outages, storms, or emergencies (extended hours, weekends, holidays)
