Safety Intern/CoOp at Ameren

Candidates must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Safety from an accredited program with a GPA of 2.5 or above, have a valid driver’s license and vehicle, and demonstrate proficiency with MS Office, strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills, plus working knowledge of OSHA and other regulatory standards.

The position works a standard work week in an office and field environment, with occasional overtime, overnight travel, and support during emergencies possibly requiring extended hours, weekends, and holidays. It is preferred that candidates reside in the St. Louis Metropolitan area or Missouri, Illinois, and Iowa and be willing to travel.

Key responsibilities include analyzing soft tissue injury records for trends, assessing interactions between co-workers and machinery, evaluating work environments, identifying improvements, providing recommendations, compiling reports, liaising with professionals, and assisting in injury investigations.
