Requirements

Candidates must be current students pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Nuclear Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Engineering Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. Demonstrated application of technical skills through projects or prior experience is highly preferred. Proficiency in technical areas like data analysis, computational modeling, and engineering software is required, with familiarity in coding and simulation tools such as Python or MATLAB being a plus. Exposure to physics-based modeling through coursework or research is also needed, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Strong self-starter, critical thinking, problem-solving, team player, and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

Interns will contribute to the design, development, and testing of tools, infrastructures, and methods for reactor safety and performance analysis. They will perform data analysis and modeling tasks in areas such as radiation transport, thermal hydraulics, structural analysis, or computational fluid dynamics. Responsibilities also include assisting in research projects, validating models, collaborating with engineering teams, documenting work through technical reports, presenting findings, and adhering to safety protocols.
