Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, with at least 2 years of experience in localization, perception, and navigation technologies. Proven experience with machine learning and its application in robotics is required, along with proficiency in C++ and Python. Experience with robotic frameworks like ROS is highly desirable, as is the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. A Master's degree in a related field and experience fine-tuning ML models for diverse urban settings are considered advantageous.
The Robotics Engineer will develop and implement quick fix mitigations for immediate autonomy problems in the field. They will prioritize and plan the development of new features, analyze and troubleshoot issues in navigation, localization, and perception systems, and fine-tune machine learning models for optimal performance in new environments. Responsibilities also include collaborating with cross-functional teams, developing data collection pipelines to monitor system performance, and contributing to the full stack development of robust and scalable robotics solutions.
