Responsibilities

  • Oversee all roadway design team’s projects and staff for the State of Illinois
  • Ensure division’s operational strategies and financial decisions align with discipline and firm strategies
  • Mentor Roadway Team Managers and Project Managers
  • Drive project profitability, quality, and accountability among Project Managers
  • Investigate and develop new clients within Illinois
  • Expand roadway design team’s footprint in existing offices and potentially new Illinois offices
  • Foster a positive work environment
  • Collaborate with sales and revenue leadership and Discipline Leader to expand firm’s market share in Illinois
  • Coordinate with Discipline Leaders and Regional Leaders to develop and implement operational strategies aligned with company objectives
  • Enforce accountability measures for Project Managers to drive team performance
  • Direct division personnel and activities for project success
  • Collaborate with Project Managers to provide guidance on client interactions
  • Monitor project progress, perform QC/QA, and prepare reports to identify trends and progress
  • Ensure project deliverables are completed on time and within budget
  • Plan, organize, and direct department activities, including project management, design, and construction oversight
  • Provide leadership in planning, design, and execution of major projects
  • Serve as a project manager on various projects
  • Direct multiple staff among the Illinois Roadway team
  • Identify staffing needs and participate in recruiting and hiring
  • Conduct performance appraisals and ensure effective resource allocation
  • Promote a positive work culture
  • Mentor direct reports and Project Managers
  • Identify training needs for staff development
  • Work closely with regional leadership on client relationships and business development
