Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in finance operations, particularly in revenue operations and accounting
  • Strong understanding of US-GAAP, statutory regulations, and financial reporting
  • Proficient in financial software and Microsoft Office
  • Experience in team management, with capability to mentor and motivate
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively across various departments
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to manage large datasets and derive meaningful insights
  • Efficient in problem-solving and able to implement process improvements
  • Familiarity with tax laws and compliance frameworks relevant to revenue accounting

Responsibilities

  • Oversee accurate revenue-related reporting and journal entries, manage revenue closing activities such as accruals, provisions, and reconciliations in compliance with US-GAAP/Stat rules
  • Track and manage the revenue closing calendar to ensure timely financial closing
  • Ensure compliance with regional statutory requirements related to revenue accounting, provide guidance on statutory and tax accounting, reporting, and audits
  • Coordinate with operation controllers for regulatory filings and tax compliance
  • Monitor and manage unbilled accounts receivable, collaborate with teams to remove billing obstacles
  • Review and approve adjustments to credit notes and invoices in accordance with local VAT laws
  • Engage with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate revenue recognition and guide on contract variations
  • Maintain rigorous controls on revenue processes and balance sheet controls, address and rectify any identified control deficiencies
  • Partner with Client Service to support sales proposals and contract entries, provide training, collaborate on contract interpretations and revenue-related queries
  • Assist with various audits, ensuring adherence to Global/Regional COE standards
  • Supervise, coach, and mentor team members, fostering a high-energy, engaging work environment
  • Manage documentation for regulatory filings and audits, develop and implement mitigation plans for identified deficiencies
