Candidates must possess a CPA and a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, with a preference for a Big 4 background or experience in a high-growth tech/fintech company. A minimum of 5-8 years in revenue accounting is required, along with deep knowledge of ASC 606 and complex contract revenue recognition. Strong proficiency with high transaction volumes, data complexity, ERP systems like NetSuite, and other revenue tools is essential. The ideal candidate will be tech-forward, detail-oriented, analytical, organized, and possess strong leadership, problem-solving, and cross-functional communication skills.
The Revenue Accounting Manager will own the end-to-end revenue accounting process, including the recognition of commissions and contingent commissions. They will apply and interpret ASC 606 for various revenue streams, ensure timely and accurate month-end close activities, and maintain revenue recognition policies. This role involves partnering with data and engineering teams to improve data quality and streamline reporting, identifying and implementing process improvements and automation, and collaborating with external auditors for audit and SOX compliance. The manager will also assist with special projects such as ERP optimization and IPO readiness.
