Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with a CPA certification being preferred. Proven progressive accounting experience, particularly in revenue accounting, SAAS accounting, or a similar role, is essential. A deep understanding of revenue recognition principles and accounting regulations is required, alongside strong leadership and team management capabilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary, as is advanced proficiency in accounting software such as NetSuite, SAP, Sage Intacct, or Blackline, and Microsoft Excel.
The Accounting Manager will oversee and manage the accounting activities for a business unit, leading a team of accountants. Key responsibilities include spearheading the month-end close process, managing the general ledger, preparing and approving journal entries, reviewing financial results, and preparing dashboards. The role also involves generating finance performance reports with key metrics and trends, supporting FP&A reporting needs, enhancing revenue recognition documentation, analyzing complex revenue transactions, and managing the billing process for accuracy and timeliness. Additionally, the manager will monitor internal controls to minimize financial risk, identify improvement opportunities, and collaborate with internal and external auditors.
