Requirements

Candidates should possess a CPA certification and a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, with a preference for a background from a Big 4 accounting firm or experience at a high-growth tech or fintech company. They should have 5-8 years of experience in revenue accounting, demonstrating deep knowledge of ASC 606 and revenue recognition principles, particularly for complex contracts and variable consideration models. Strong systems expertise with ERP systems like NetSuite and revenue tools is also required, along with comfort working across multiple systems.

Responsibilities

As a Revenue Accounting Manager, you will own the end-to-end revenue accounting process, including the recognition of commissions and usage fees, applying and interpreting ASC 606 across various revenue streams, ensuring timely and accurate month-end close, reconciliations, and reporting. You will maintain and update revenue recognition policies, partner with data and engineering teams to enhance data quality, identify process improvements and automation opportunities, collaborate with external auditors, and assist with special projects such as ERP optimization and IPO readiness. You will also play a key role in helping the company meet public company standards.
