Requirements

  • 4+ years of revenue accounting experience, preferably with consumptive based revenue recognition
  • Strong understanding of revenue recognition principles and ASC 606, including breakage accounting and accounting for variable consideration
  • Attention to detail and excellent analytical skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively communicate with cross-functional teams
  • Experience navigating large amounts of data
  • Experience working with Netsuite, Stripe and Salesforce (or similar ERP / CRM tools)
  • Curious and willing to adopt AI tools to work smarter and deliver better results
  • Ability to work in-office on Mondays and Thursdays (Anchor Days); certain positions may require additional in-office days
  • Nice to Haves

Responsibilities

  • Support month-end close activities related to usage-based and consumptive revenue streams, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with ASC 606
  • Prepare and validate monthly revenue recognition calculations, including variable consideration estimates, breakage analysis, and usage-driven revenue true-ups
  • Partner cross-functionally with Data Engineering, FP&A, and BizTech to ensure usage data completeness and alignment between billing systems and the GL
  • Assist in documenting accounting conclusions and performing ad-hoc analyses related to new pricing models, credit expirations, or contract modifications
  • Support audit requests and help strengthen internal controls and documentation
  • Prepare the revenue month-end close process, ensuring accurate financial reporting and driving process improvements
