Responsibilities

  • Provide needs-based services to people with work-related injuries
  • Actively manage claims for compensation, delivering appropriate and timely treatment and promoting return to work
  • Ensure injured workers receive entitlements in accordance with the Workplace Injury Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 2013
  • Liaise with injured workers, employers, and treating practitioners to facilitate and support medical management and return-to-work activities
  • Assist and support injured workers' return to work through person-centered case management, ensuring appropriate compensation entitlements
  • Deal with internal and external stakeholders to achieve sustainable outcomes
  • Participate in 4 weeks of theoretical and practical training in workers’ compensation case management
  • Undertake further training throughout the first 12 months to expand knowledge of workplace injury management, return to work planning, dispute resolution, and workers’ compensation law
