Requirements

  • 5-10 years of NY Workers' Compensation (WC) claims experience or equivalent experience servicing NY WC claims organizations for an IME entity in a leadership position
  • Knowledge of all applicable NY WC IME and record review laws and regulations
  • Understanding of the NY WC claims landscape, including Insurance Carriers, Third-Party Administrators, Self-Insured entities, Insurance Defense Firms, State and Local entities
  • Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Business experience in a healthcare and/or insurance setting preferred
  • Business experience in a Worker’s Compensation and/or Auto insurance setting preferred
  • NY IME experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and ensure the overall profitability of the regional operations center for the New York Division servicing New York Workers' Compensation claims organizations
  • Reach and exceed financial and referral goals
  • Manage staffing efficiencies, performance expectations, and improvements for existing staff
  • Present regular reporting to management on requested topics
  • Ensure client satisfaction for New York Workers' Compensation clients
  • Drive revenue growth by delivering excellent customer service, including meeting scheduling best practices and turnaround time requirements, timely delivery of high-quality reports, managing client inquiries, optimizing physician costs, ensuring invoices adhere to fee schedules, overseeing physician selection, and building/maintaining physician relationships for panel retention, availability, and block-time scheduling
  • Monitor key performance metrics of Customer Service Representatives (CSR) and Quality Assurance (QA) Specialists, ensuring the team meets or exceeds 85% of output goals for scheduling and QA targets
  • Hire new staff based on increased referral volume or new clients
  • Conduct timely and constructive performance evaluations, handle discipline and termination in accordance with company policy
  • Collaborate with the Sales team as primary liaison to understand and address client needs, and join sales calls/meetings as needed
  • Oversee overall production, performance, and quality of the assigned region
  • Plan and organize daily activities related to production and operations
  • Measure productivity by analyzing performance data, financial data, and activity reports
  • Coordinate with support departments such as human resources, finance, IT, and Business Analysts for successful operations
  • Determine labor needs to meet production goals
  • Oversee the deposition process at the request of the client or defense counsel
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned based on business needs
